Donate Today!The success of proposing and developing a childcare center in San Diego led to much national attention. The United States Department of Justice featured the efforts in San Diego ("The San Diego Police Department's Childcare Solution") in its June 2022 issue of the Community Policing Dispatch - the award-winning e-newsletter of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office).
After that article, the NLEF fielded calls from rank & file law enforcement officers from all over the country, asking our team to help their agency manage projects of their own and navigate how to create funding paths to support them.
The Department of Justice and Bureau of Justice Assistance invited the NLEF to present in Washington, DC, in April 2023. The NLEF discussed recruiting and retention topics and offered suggestions for how the DOJ could provide law enforcement agencies with more tangible tools.
NLEF is the nation's expert on how to customize childcare to meet law enforcement's needs and get it done and delivered to officers. NLEF is spearheading efforts for numerous agencies nationwide.
