National Border Patrol Council: A Historic Partnership for America's Frontline Families
The National Law Enforcement Foundation (NLEF) is proud to officially partner with the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC)—the exclusive voice of the 18,000 agents who defend our nation's borders.
After two years of working alongside NBPC leadership, listening to agents and their families, and designing solutions grounded in real operational demands, NLEF is now positioned to deliver the highest-quality, values-aligned early childhood education tailored specifically to Border Patrol families.
This partnership marks a major milestone in our mission. Border Patrol agents face one of the most demanding assignments in American law enforcement—often in isolated regions, under intense pressure, and with limited access to reliable family support systems. The lack of affordable, consistent childcare has long been a barrier to retention and quality of life for agents, and NLEF is answering that call.
Our work with NBPC will begin with the first-ever childcare pilot center in Del Rio, Texas—a region where the need is especially urgent—and will expand to serve agents across multiple sectors. These centers will offer extended hours, seven-day-a-week coverage, and a tuition model that makes high-quality care accessible to the families who stand watch over our borders.
Together, NLEF and NBPC are demonstrating that real solutions are possible when those closest to the profession help shape the path forward. We are honored to serve the brave men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and to help build a future where no agent has to choose between their calling and their children.
